Julia Overton-Healy, Director


Photo of Julia Overton-HealyDr. Julia Overton-Healy, the Director for the CDC, holds advanced degrees in Leadership (Indiana University of Pennsylvania) and in Communications (Eastern Illinois University). In a career spanning over twenty years, she has held roles in higher education (in Student Affairs and in Academic Affairs) in the corporate sector. Her expertise areas include StrengthsQuest (a certified educator), salary negotiation, women’s leadership, and professionalism education. Fun facts: she makes a great lasagna (but doesn’t really enjoy cooking), her first job was walking soybean fields to cut out the weeds, and she sang in a classic-rock cover band when she was an undergrad. Julia is married; she and her husband Kelly reside in the City of Plattsburgh.

Sally Urban, Sr. Career Counselor


Photo of Sally UrbanMs. Sally Urban, Senior Career Counselor, was born and raised in central Wisconsin (and yes, is a Packers fan). . She holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. She obtained a Master's degree in College Student Personnel from Indiana State University. She joined the Career Development Center at Plattsburgh State in the fall of 2000 and is currently a senior career counselor. Sally is on the board of directors of PAGE, Inc. (Program for African Growth through Education). Their first school is going to open in Burkina Faso in 2015. She is an active member of the Plattsburgh State Gospel Choir and has over 35,000 songs in iTunes from a wide range of genres. She has a 21-year old daughter who is a senior at Stony Brook University.

Tobi Hay, Career Counselor/Employer Relations Specialist


Photo of Tobi HayMs. Tobi Hay, Career Counselor and Employer Relations Specialist, earned a Master's Degree in Student Affairs from Syracuse University and a Bachelor's in Political Science and Women's Studies from Colgate University. Her experience includes career counseling, corporate recruiting, academic advising and admissions. Fun facts: she played rugby in college, is a middle child (which she believes should be obvious to anyone who knows her) and enjoys NPR, Meet the Press and other commentary on current events.

Michelle St. Onge, Career Technology Coordinator


Photo of Michelle St. OngeMs. Michelle St. Onge joined the CDC staff in January of 2014. She has worked part-time on campus since 2006, serving international students in the Global Education Office, as well as athletes and coaches in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Her career counseling experience is drawn from over 15 years as a certified career coach where she served business and community members affected by a reduction in workforce. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Vermont as well as a dual Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs and Guidance & Counseling from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Fun facts: she can parallel park a minivan like a machine; she believe peanut butter makes (almost) everything taste better; and she has jumped out of a perfectly good airplane on more than one occasion.

Darlene Egan, Secretary

Ms. Darlene Egan, CDC Secretary, is a North Country native. She began working in the private sector shortly after completing a medical secretary certification program. After working in a General Surgery office for many years she crossed the street and joined SUNY Plattsburgh. Fun facts: Darlene recently joined the Strawhatter’s, (playing a trumpet that was only a few decades old), has been a student of Martial Arts and enjoys spending time with her family (husband and three children), hiking, and was a soccer official (and continues as a soccer mom).
