Tracey Cross-Baker

Areas of Expertise: Career counseling; working with undecided students; effective job search strategies including interviewing including resume writing and interviewing; graduate school advising; networking; internship development.

Ms. Cross-Baker joins the career staff with an extensive career in student affairs. Previous positions have included serving as Associate Director of Career Services at Ithaca College, Associate Director of Career and Leadership Education at St. Lawrence University, Career Counselor at Plymouth State University and Director of Career Services at Clinton Community College. Active in both the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) and the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), Ms. Cross-Baker has also served as the President of the New York State College Student Personnel Association (CSPA).

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government from St. Lawrence University as well as a Masters degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont. In 2009, Ms. Cross-Baker also completed her Certificate of Advanced Studies in Counselor Education here at SUNY Plattsburgh.

A native of Ticonderoga, Ms. Cross-Baker is thrilled to be working with students here in the North Country.

Sally Urban

Ms. Urban joined the Career Development Center at Plattsburgh State in the fall of 2000. She holds a Master's degree in College Student Personnel from Indiana State University. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. Ms. Urban was born and raised in central Wisconsin. She enjoys singing and a variety of cultural activities. She is currently the advisor of the Plattsburgh State Gospel Choir.

Barbara Barry

Ms. Barry began her career at the Plattsburgh State Career Development Center in 1993. She has returned to Career Development after a two-year interval coordinating workforce development programs for youth in the local community. She holds a Master's degree from Columbia University Teachers College in Adult and Higher Education/Student Personnel Administration. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from SUNY Binghamton. Ms. Barry was born and raised in New York City.
