New Transfer Student Advisement and Registration Process

For transfer students accepted to the Fall 2013 semester, please follow the three steps listed below to complete the registration process for the upcoming semester.

Step 1: View your Credit Evaluation (Degree Works Audit) Online

Once your DW Audit has been created, you can view it online by following these steps:

  1. Go to the MyPlattsburgh login page
  2. Enter your NetID and password, then click on "Login"
  3. Click on the "Admissions" tab
  4. Under the "Other Information" section, click on "SUNY Degree Works Login"
  5. Re-enter your NetID and password to login to the Degree Works system (once logged in, your DW Audit should appear)

Transfer credit evaluations are automatically prioritized for those students who have already paid their deposits. Please note that your official DW Audit will be available once the credit has been reviewed and validated. Admissions will notify you by e-mail and letter when your official credit evaluation is ready.

Step 2: Receive Course Advisement

  • Attend a Transfer Orientation Session (recommended) - Your invitation to attend orientation will arrive in late May. During orientation, you'll receive course advisement and register for classes. Sessions are scheduled for June 21 and July 20.
  • Online Registration Option: Advisement will be available starting Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Note: Online registration will begin on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 10 a.m.
  • Onsite Registration Option: If you were unable to attend orientation or receive advisement from your department chairperson by phone to register online, or you need to make any adjustments/additions to your schedule, you are invited to attend the final Advisement and Registration Session. The session is scheduled for Sunday, August 25, 2013, at 10 a.m. (sharp!) in the Claude J. Clarke Learning Center, First Floor of the Feinberg Library.
