- About Plattsburgh
Hello and thank you for your interest in SUNY Plattsburgh. As the Associate Director of Admissions, I assist in all functions of the admissions office, including strategic planning and analysis, application processing, scholarship review, the college-wide Open House program, and management of our prospective student communication plan. I also collaborate with other departments on campus such as financial aid, alumni relations, and marketing to ensure excellent service for prospective students.
Hometown: Keeseville, NY
Professional/Personal Biography: I received my bachelor's degree in mass media from SUNY Plattsburgh in 1996. After working in non-profit community relations for four years, I returned to the College to serve as a member of the admissions team. I live in Plattsburgh with my husband and our two, young children. We spend much of our family time exploring this spectacular region in which we are located, whether it be boating on Lake Champlain in the summer or skating and snowboarding in the winter, we are happy to be a part of the Plattsburgh community.
Most memorable college experience: My senior-year, public relations internship at Georgia-Pacific. It was an invaluable experience.
Favorite SUNY Plattsburgh activity: I have always enjoyed Plattsburgh's outstanding theatre performances; I try to make it to at least one a semester.
Best advice you received regarding college or would give someone entering college: Manage your time well. College life brings a lot of independence, but with that comes responsibility. Don't procrastinate! If you set aside space in every day for studying and homework, then you'll find plenty of time for socializing and extracurricular activities.
