Professional/Personal Biography: I graduated from High School locally in 2007 from Peru Junior - Senior High School. In 2010, I graduated from Ithaca College with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Legal Studies. During my time at Ithaca I worked in the Athletics Office with the Operations and Events Coordinator and spent a lot of time working with a Psychology Research Team examining how perceptions of responsibility can impact individuals suffering from diabetes. I also spent last summer abroad in Barcelona, Spain studying culture and the Spanish language, which was by far one of my favorite educational experiences. I have recently moved back to Plattsburgh and am very excited to be working here at SUNY Plattsburgh!

Most memorable college experience: Presenting my senior psychology research project along with my team at an undergraduate research conference. It was a project that I was able to work on from start to finish and I was very happy to be able to present our work and see the project through to completion.

Favorite SUNY Plattsburgh activity: Hockey games! I have been going to the Cardinal hockey games for as long as I can remember. It is truly a great event for the students, faculty, sports fans and the local community alike.

Best advice you received regarding college or would give someone entering college: One of the most important pieces of advice that I received and benefited from in college was to “get to know your professors”. They are such a valuable resource for college students and can present many opportunities during your college years. Also important in my opinion is to try new things! College is a time to explore and get to know yourself and your interests… try different clubs, organizations, or sports and you’ll be amazed at what you might find!
