- Pay bill and get your student identification card
- Medical/Immunization verification at the Student Health Center
- Campus Tour
- Opening session with information about immigration and the United States higher education system
- Opening dinner with all of the new students and families
- Technology training with information about the campus e-mail system and BannerWeb (online student information system)
- English Reading Placement Exam
- English Writing Placement Exam
- English Speaking Placement Exam
- English Listening Competency Exam
- Math Competency Exam (if applicable)
- Partners in Cross-Cultural Learning (PICL) information session
- Banking Session
- Transfer Session (for transfer students only)
- English Bridge Program meeting (for EBP students only)
- Meeting with academic advisor and course registration
- Shopping trips
- BINGO night
- Movie night
- Games Night
- Lunches and dinners
Family Orientation Events
Family members who travel with their student are welcome to attend our Family Orientation program. This program runs during the first few days of student orientation and requires separate registration. Topics we cover include:
- Health insurance and the Student Health Services Center
- Campus tour
- Opening session (meet our staff, learn about immigration and the United States higher education system)
- Student life and living in the residence halls
- Partners in Cross-Cultural Learning (PICL) information session
- Academic policies and procedures
- Student accounts and billing
- Banking
