*M.S.T. programs also allow summer entry. Summer applications have the same priority deadline as fall - February 15. Applications may be accepted after Feb 15 at the department's discretion.
If selected for an on-campus interview, you will be notified by your academic department and invited to campus. Interviews for programs with strict February 15 deadlines typically take place in late February or early March.
SUNY Plattsburgh requires a $250 tuition deposit for all graduate programs. Once you become an admitted student, the tuition deposit will hold your seat in the program and will be applied toward your tuition for the semester in which you are matriculating. Refunds for tuition deposits may be requested from the Director of Graduate Admissions, but refunds are not guaranteed if the request is made more than 30 days after the deposit was paid or if the semester has begun.
Applications received after the deadline may be considered on a space-available basis for some programs.
All graduate candidates are responsible for making certain that their applications are complete. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Interviews are required or may be required for Counselor Education (Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Student Affairs Counseling), Educational Leadership (SBL and SDL Programs), Expeditionary Studies, School Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology, Adolescence Education, Childhood Education, Teaching & Learning, and Literacy Education. Candidates will be contacted by the program department about interview dates and times.
