Theatre Program at SUNY Plattsburgh

Photo of students reheasingDo you share with the rest of us the impulse to perform? Would you like to be part of a team that works diligently but with the greatest of delight to help others get transported to the magic world of theatrical fantasy? Or would you just like to put on a preposterous costume or get dirty backstage? If so, then we may just have the program for you.

A Program for All Students

Theatre is alive, vital and convivial at SUNY Plattsburgh. Every year our two performing spaces are beehives of activity with productions either in preparation or in performance.

At the same time, a full compliment of classes provides training for both the serious and the casual student of acting, stagecraft and dramatic history and literature.

All productions and classes are open to all students. So whether you just have a slight interest in theatre (or a bit of ham in you) or whether you're more dedicated to it and want to join the thirty to forty theatre majors, you are very welcome to join us.
