  • American Psychological Association (APA)
    This scientific and professional organization represents psychology in the United States and is the largest association of psychologists. The website contains extensive information for professionals and students, including information on careers and graduate school.
  • Eastern Psychological Association (EPA)
    Students and faculty at Plattsburgh State often present their research at this regional association's meetings.
  • Association for Psychological Science (APS)
    This is another large scientific organization whose mission is to "promote, protect, and advance the interests of scientifically oriented psychology in research, application, teaching, and the improvement of human welfare."
  • National Association of School Psychologists (NASP)
    This association represents and supports school psychology and seeks to enhance the mental health and educational competence of all children.
  • Psi Chi
    Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology. Its purpose is "encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology." Undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in psychology and who meet minimum standards are encouraged to join.
