Logging In To The Automated Helpdesk Request System

Gaining Access

To gain access to the automated Helpdesk request system, you will need to provide a NetID and Password.

Example:

Your NetID is the same as you would use to check your campus e-mail or login to MyPlattsburgh. Unless you have already changed it, your Password, by default, consists of the last four digits of your Social Security Number and the first four letters of your last name. These letters in your password must be entered in uppercase (capital letters).

Example: Jane A. Smith SS# 123-45-6789
NetId (Username): smit3456 (student) or

smithja
(faculty/staff)
Password: 6789SMIT
