I look forward to welcoming our graduating students along with their families and friends as they come together to share in this special ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015. However, there are a number of important items that all students planning to graduate in December need to complete.
Degree candidates need to apply for their diploma with the Registrar's Office by Thursday, April 30, 2015 to guarantee their names will be listed in the Winter Commencement Program. Please use the link to complete the online process: Application for Diploma.
Another one of those tings is for degree candidates to attend the Cardinal Graduation Expo, which has been set for Monday, Oct. 26, 2015 in the Cardinal Lounge, of Angell College Center, 12 - 4 p.m. Several offices -- Registrar, Student Financial Services, Graduate Admissions, Career Development Services, Alumni Relations, -- will have staff on hand to answer questions about important details you need to know before leaving.
For those students who have not yet filed their Application for Diploma, you will be able to do so with the Registrar's Office during the Cardinal Graduation Expo. If you submit you application during the Cardinal Graduation Expo and meet the requirements, your name will be listed in the Winter Commencement Program.
This is also a great opportunity for students to purchase gift items relating to Commencement, such as caps and gowns, diploma covers, commencement announcements, class rings, and diploma frames. The College Store will have several vendors on site to meet with you.
I also encourage you to attend the Commencement Reception planned for Friday, Dec. 11, and then Winter Commencement on Saturday, Dec. 12. In the meantime, I encourage you to work hard during these last few weeks of your college career at SUNY Plattsburgh.
If you have any questions, please contact my office by email or phone.
