- About Plattsburgh
You need a PBN in order to make calls outside of our internal system. This includes local, long-distance, and international calls. You will need an active PBN to call toll free 800 numbers, although there is no charge for this. You do not need a PBN to call 911.
No. This is the real convenience of PBNs - you are billed directly for the calls that you make. Your roommate has a separate PBN, so they will receive a separate bill for all of their calls. Plus, if your roommate doesn't pay their bill, your phone service will not be interrupted.
The monthly billing cycle runs from the 21st of the current month to the 20th of the following month.
Yes. Your PBN can be used from any phone on campus that has the ability to make calls outside of the phone system. This is another convenient feature of the PBN - you can call out from nearly any phone on campus, and not have to worry about repaying someone or having unknown charges show up on your bill from calls other people make from your line.
Stop by the Telecommunications Office and ask to have it changed. Your bill can be reviewed if you think that someone may have been using your PBN without your permission.
No. A PBN is like a credit card. You are responsible for all charges on your PBN. Don't compromise your account's security!
This can take up to three business days.
Telweb provides an easy way to check your bills and payments through your computer. Telweb provides in-depth call detail, as well as archived bills and current account information.
YES! Just log on to the TELWEB system, select "my bills" tab, and then "Pay my Bill."
