Telecommunications - Calling Plans

• 50 minutes of international calls per month

When the 200 minutes for toll minutes or the 50 minutes for international calls have been exceeded during the month, a $0.05 per minute charge for long distance calls and the standard rate for international calls will be incurred. All long distance and international calls will be billed in one-minute increments and any unused minutes during the month WILL NOT be carried forward to the following month.

All international students have the option to switch from the International Calling Plan to the 400-minute On-Campus Calling Plan as outlined above. You must come to the Telecommunications Office to complete a change in calling plan form.

Off-campus students, summer session, and winter session rates

• No monthly fee
• Local calls: $.10 for the first 3 minutes, $.02 every additional minute
• Long distance calls:  $.10 per minute
• Internation calls:  standard international rates

International Calling Rates

International calling rates are subject to change. For information about international calling rates, please stop by our office. (Please note that calls made to an international cellular telephone number may result in a higher cost per minute rate.)

Calling Areas

• Long Distance:  includes continental US, Alaska, and Hawaii
• Local Calling Area:  The local calling area of Plattsburgh includes the towns of Chazy, Dannemora, Ellenburg Depot, Peru, Saranac, and West Chazy.
