	Plattsburgh State Career Development Center The Career Development Center (CDC) at Plattsburgh State works with students to design a 4-year plan, from their first semester as a freshman to the completion of their senior year. The CDC office will help students explore career options, write resumes, and find out what employers are looking for. Learn more
	Americorps Created in 1993, AmeriCorps is a network of national service programs designed to meet needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment. Most members serve a one-year term of service and, in exchange, receive modest living allowances and an education award that can be used for future educational expenses or to help pay existing student loans. 	Peace Corps In 1961, President John F. Kennedy established the Peace Corps to promote world peace and friendship. Peace Corps volunteers currently serve in 72 countries and work in areas such as education, health & HIV/AIDS, business, agriculture, youth, and community development. In exchange for their service, Peace Corps volunteers receive professional, educational, and financial benefits. Learn more.
	City Year City Year was founded in 1988 with the belief that young people in service could be a powerful resource for addressing society's most pressing issues. During their 10-month service program, City Year corps members work in areas such as education, youth development, mentoring, and diversity. Learn more.
	Teach For America Founded in 1990, Teach for America members commit two years to teaching in low-income rural and urban communities where they strive to attain dramatic academic gains for their students. Their vision is that one day, all children in the United States will have the opportunity to attain an excellent education. Teachers receive teachers' salaries in the districts they work in, as well as education awards through AmeriCorps. Learn more.
