Paying Your Tuition Bill
When To Expect Your Bill
We mail a separate paper bill for each semester of your enrollment. For example, we start to mail bills for the fall semester in early July with a due date in early August. We start to mail bills for the spring semester in late November with a due date in late December. Once you receive a bill, you have until the due date to select your options and accept your charges, and until full payment is due. You normally have about three weeks between the date you receive the bill and its due date.
The easiest and most popular way to view your bill, select your options, and accept your charges is online at MyPlattsburgh
What You Will See In Your Bill
Your bill includes optional fees on it such as the parking, fitness center, and green fee among others. Visit our Fees web page to learn more about our optional fees. Failure to accept charges or pay the bill in full by the due date may result in administrative fees, late fees, and holds. Instructions accompany each bill and are also available at Forms.
How Your Bill Is Calculated
Financial aid is deducted from the bill as long as you have completed all of the steps that are required for us to pay the aid to your account. If there appears to be aid "missing" from your bill, check whether you have any financial aid requirements on my.plattsburgh.edu or contact our office. If you need a Loan to help pay for college, the federal student loans that we offered you in your award letter are generally the least expensive loan option.
Options for Help In Paying Your Bill
Students who require additional assistance to cover their bill or educations expenses may wish to consider a Payment Plan, Parent PLUS Loan, or alternative educational loan. A Parent PLUS loan is generally less expensive than an alternative loan. We encourage you to explore all other available resources before applying for an alternative loan.
