Center for the Study of Canada - Distinguished Canadian Address

The annual Distinguished Canadian Address recognizes select individuals who have made a profoundly positive contribution to Canadian public life. Centered around a public address to the University and Northern New York community, this special event also features a press conference, reception and President's Dinner.

The inaugural address was delivered in March 2003 by the Honorable Michael Kergin, Ambassador of Canada to the United States. In April 2004, the Right Honorable Beverley McLachlin, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada spoke at Krinovitz Hall. Her address focused on the comparative legal approaches and protections of human rights in Canada and the United States. Program details for the 2005 Distinguished Address will be posted to this site in January 2005.
