"After graduating, I took the summer off and did some traveling around Europe...the most amazing experience, I recommend it to any graduate...a great break before entering the "real world". I am now working as a Project Scientist with Lawler, Matusky & Skelly Engineers LLP in Pearl River, NY. We have also have a lab in Nyack, NY and offices in other cities in NY, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Michigan, and Chicago. I'm currently part of the Environmental Chemistry Section of the Assessment and Management Group and plan to attend PACE University in January for an M.S. in Environmental Science. I can't believe it's been over a year since I've graduated!"

Brian reports that he is doing well with SAIC in San Francisco. He has grown fond of the Bay Area and it looks like he will stay there for the foreseeable future. The majority of his work involves building volumetric databases for US and CA EPA on Superfund cleanups and emergency removals. He also performs Potentially Responsible Party (PRP) searches, tracking corporations down so EPA can monitor them. He recently traveled to the foothills of the Sierras (Jackson, CA) to investigate some property that belongs to one of his company's PRPs. Another project involves cleaning up an old placer gold mine dating from late 1800's near Lake Tahoe, where there is serious mercury contamination. Brian has also worked on several software development projects, working in Visual FoxPro, Visual Basic and SQL7, in which he provides database and some web-development support.
