Director’s Welcome

Dear Reader,

Did you know SUNY Plattsburgh is one university with two campuses? Nestled between Saratoga Springs and the southern Adirondacks, SUNY Plattsburgh at Queensbury is located on the campus of SUNY Adirondack in Queensbury, N.Y.

Our motto, “you don’t have to leave to go far,” reflects our commitment to serving the local community. Residents of Warren, Washington, Saratoga and neighboring counties can complete a SUNY Plattsburgh bachelor’s degree close to home — without sacrificing quality, flexibility or opportunity.

Whether you want to pair a forensic psychology minor with our criminal justice or psychology degrees, specialize in computer security to enter the fast-paced world of tech, or explore our major in human development and family relations — preparing you for 100+ careers in the human services field — our programs are designed with working adults and transfer students in mind.

Now, with dual admission, students transferring from nearby community colleges can transfer seamlessly without the need to submit an admissions application, request transcripts or pay additional fees. This coupled with flexible pathways, small class sizes and individualized support allows you to finish your degree close to home with the attention and guidance you deserve.

With a wide range of minors, opportunities for research, teacher assistantships and local internship opportunities, you can tailor your education to align with your career goals — all at a reasonable cost.

As director of our Queensbury campus, and proud alumna of SUNY Plattsburgh, I am excited to welcome you. The next time you’re in Bryan Hall at SUNY Adirondack, I invite you to stop by and say hello or drop our team a line at [email protected].

Sincerely,
Emma Volks G’14
