Memorial Hall is located in the center of campus on Rugar Street and houses the Department of Sports & Wellness administrative office and faculty/coaches offices. The building houses a gymnasium, three racquetball courts, a six lane swimming pool, three classrooms, lockerrooms and a general activity room. The Fitness Center, a membership club, is located on the lower level of Memorial Hall. It consists of 5,000 square foot area housing cardiovascular equipment, resistive weight equipment and a free weight area; A separate, 18,00 square foot facility is dedicated to aerobic class offerings; A 2,700 square foot activity room is home to Fitness Center Spinning, Boot Camp, CORE and cardio-kickboxing classesand a climbing esll. The activity room is also used by performing student group as a practice area and the recreation martial arts classes.
Equipment Issue, Intramurals and Racquetball Court Reservations
The recreation office is located on the top floor (320) of Memorial Hall. Building supervisors, equipment issue attendants and the intramural coordinator work out of this office. The office is open when school is in session and limited hours during the summer. Office is closed when school is not in session.
Equipment must be returned same day as issued unless prior arrangements have been made with Recreational Sports Coordinator. Equipment available for checkout includes:
- Racquetball racquets and balls
- Basketballs, volleyballs, soccer balls, footballs
- Softball bats and balls
- Tug of War ropes
Racquetball court reservations and equipment may be checked out with a Plattsburgh State ID card during the following hours.

Pre-Session
- No Recreation hours. The Recreation office/equipment issue room is closed the first two weeks after graduation each year.
First Session
- Monday - Friday 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Second Session
- Monday - Thursday: 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
- Friday: 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
