The SUNY-Plattsburgh Sports Information Office is available to help the media in its coverage of Cardinal Athletics, and is housed on the bottom floor of Memorial Hall, Room 110, on Rugar Street.
The office produces press releases, game notes, statistics, media guides, game programs and maintains the athletics website and historical records for each sport while in-season. Please contact the SID Office or surf to www.plattsburgh.edu/athletics/cardathletics to obtain information.
For credentials, photos or interview requests, please contact the Plattsburgh State Sports Information Office at least one day in advance.
Limited space is available at press row in various sports venues, with first priority given to daily media outlets that cover the visiting team and the Cardinals. The visiting radio station should contact Sports Information Director Patrick Stewart one week in advance of desired game to make proper arrangements. There is no designated parking available for media.
In general, media members are asked to arrange interviews with coaches and student-athletes through the SID Office at least 24 hours in advance so that a mutually convenient time can be set for both parties. This office will not release home or cell telephone numbers of student-athletes or coaches. We discourage game-day interviews with student-athletes until after the completion of the contest. Student-athletes and coaches are available to the media after a 10-minute "cooling off" period after the game. Cardinal locker rooms are closed until NCAA Championships competition. Practices are open unless otherwise posted, but credentialed media should check-in with the coaching staff or the SID Office.
SUNY-Plattsburgh reserves the right to amend any of these policies without advanced notice.
