Training Project Assistant
The position provides a full time tuition scholarship (in-state rate) and a stipend paid through the Research Foundation of SUNY for each semester of the 2013-2014 academic year. The graduate student, who is an employee of the Research Foundation of SUNY, reports to the Director of the Training Project and is responsible for a minimum of 12 hours per week throughout the academic year. S/he should be available to work some parts of winter break.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as point of contact for Department of Social Services for all activities and events funded by the grant
- Establish a liaison relationship with Sponsored Research and Programs and other campus offices and Department of Social Services
- Assist with other initiatives/projects as assigned relating to the Training Project
- Manage the documentation and completion of financial paperwork under the grants
- Assist in compiling data for periodic evaluative reports
Qualifications:
- Matriculated graduate student at Plattsburgh State
- University in good academic standing (minimum 3.0 GPA)
- Strong oral, written, and quantitative skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and time management skills
- Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to initiate new contacts and work well with other professionals
