Admissions
Admission for freshmen and transfers is competitive.
Freshman enrollees typically comprise about 60 percent of the entering class. They have solid, college-prep high school backgrounds with mean averages in the "B" range.
Transfers G.P.A. requirements vary, with mean averages calculated on all colleges previously attended.
Academics - the Heart of Campus Life
Three principal academic divisions offer more than 60 major and minor academic programs; these include arts and sciences, an internationally accredited School of Business and Economics (A.A.C.S.B.), and Education, Health and Human Services Programs. Hands-on internships, research, and study-abroad experiences complement a typical graduate's resume.
Qualified faculty, not graduate assistants, teach all the courses, enhancing student-teacher interaction. Vital technologies abound on the campus. In addition to various computing labs and wireless zones across campus, every dorm room has wireless access for computing and Internet connectivity.
