University of East Anglia Summer Programs

Why UEA?

By choosing UEA, you will be applying to one of England's top and internationally renowned universities. UEA offers over a dozen summer modules in a variety of subjects that include academic field trips and social excursions.

  • Terms: Summer-4 weeks (typically the month of July).
  • Eligibility: Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Credits: 5 undergraduate per semester.

How to Apply

Students must submit both the SUNY application to the Global Education Office.  Once materials have been reviewed, applicants will receive a link to the UEA International Summer School online application. 

Courses at UEA

Students participating in the summer program will enroll in one module. A wide range of subjects are offered including history, science, media, and business. Please visit the UEA International Summer School website for a list of all available modules.

Accommodations

Accommodation is included in the program fee that is paid to SUNY Plattsburgh. Each student will have their own room in a shared flat on the UEA campus. Please note that UEA does not offer U.S. style meal plan. Each residence has shared kitchen facilities where you can store and prepare your own food.

Cost Estimate

Students pay the application fee, deposit, SUNY tuition, semester abroad fee, housing, and health insurance to SUNY before leaving. Students should budget additional money for meals, transportation, and miscellaneous expenses. Please note: All fees are subject to change without notice.

Location

For the past 900 years, Norwich has been an essential European trading city due to its location on England's eastern coast and proximity to mainland Europe. It is also located less than two hours from London by train making it a perfect spot if you want easy access to this world capital and other nearby European countries. Surrounding Norwich, you will find beautiful countryside and the sea. UEA is only a few miles from the city center and easily accessible by public transportation.
