Why KIMEP?

The Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research is an institution of higher education in Almaty, Kazakhstan. KIMEP is a private, non-profit university offering credit-based, North American-style degree curricula. Most classes are taught in English and strive to create and transfer knowledge relevant to Central Asian society.

How to Apply

You must submit the SUNY Study Abroad Application to the Global Education Office at SUNY Plattsburgh by April 15.

Courses at KIMEP

The vast majority of courses are taught in English. For more information on the programs of study please visit KIMEP online.

Accommodation

Students have access to on-campus housing.  Please contact the Global Education Office for addtional information.

Location

KIMEP is located in the city of Almaty, which is in the beautiful, mountainous region of Kazakhstan near the border of Kyrgyzstan.  Almaty is the commercial center of Kazakhstan and has a population of nearly 1.5 million people.
