Social Work Faculty — Yong Li, Ph.D., M.S.W., M.A.

Portrait of Yong LiAssistant Professor

Dr. Li received his M.S.W. and Ph.D. from SUNY Albany, School of Social Welfare. He teaches courses in group practice, research methods and introduction to social welfare and social work. He had participated in federal and state funded child welfare research projects and conducted research on program development and evaluation. He also worked on research projects on mental health of immigrants in the U.S. His research interests include mental health, child welfare and international social welfare.He has some experience working with school-aged children and the homeless. Prior to coming to the U.S., Dr. Li spent 4 years as a policy analyst at the Office of Policies and Regulations, at Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Education in China.
