Special Exceptions

Self-Prepared Recorded Auditions

In cases where in-person auditions are impractical or pose serious difficulties for the applicant, the Music Department reserves the right to accept self-recorded auditions in place of in-person auditions.

Guidelines for Pre-Recorded Auditions

• If you choose to submit a recording for acceptance into the Minor or Concentration, send an audio tape (analog or DAT format).
• Submit the best quality recording you are able to produce.
• Be sure to include the applicant's name, instrument, and program of study on the recording and the recording container.
• Audition recordings should be sent directly to the Music Department:
