The Washington Model OASThe Washington Model OAS, in which a delegation of SUNY Plattsburgh students participate, is held each spring in the nation's capital. The students represent an assigned country diplomatically in a simulation of the hemispheric-wide Organization of American States (OAS).
The North Country High School Model OASThe second Model is the North Country High School Model OAS, which is held annually the first Sunday through Tuesday in June, when the OAS is holding its annual General Assembly. High school students from across Northern New York and Western Vermont participate, representing the various countries from the Western Hemisphere. This program (preparatory course and model assembly) can be taken by the high schools students for college credit through SUNY Plattsburgh.
