Meet our Environmental Science Program Students

Carla Canjar - Class of 2004

Carla Canjar, from Rochester, New York, is a senior majoring in our B.A. Environmental Science program. Carla is the recipient of our 2002 Casella Scholarship, one of the largest scholarships on campus. She is completing an internship with Casella Waste systems, learning all aspects of the waste management industry by working closely with Casella employees.

In Carla's words, "Working with these individuals in their areas of expertise has opened my eyes to how complex the waste industry is, from curb-side collection to the waste's final resting place in the landfill, and all the permitting that is required in order for that to happen successfully."
