Office of Student Teaching and Field Experience at SUNY Plattsburgh
"The mediocre teacher tells; the good teacher explains; the superior teacher demonstrates; the great teacher inspires." - W. Ward
The Office of Student Teaching and Field Experience provides our teacher candidates with the opportunity to observe and teach in assigned classrooms at various levels throughout their junior and senior years.
Our teacher candidates complete their practical preparation in their senior year by enrolling in a full semester of student teaching. With the support of advisors and working teachers in the field, teacher candidates assume full responsibility for classroom instruction.
