IMPORTANT NOTE: Starting in Spring 2011, C&I will NOT be matriculating any new students
Because a new program is being designed, the current Curriculum and Instruction program will not be matriculating any new graduate students after the Fall of 2010. To help those who have non-matriculated coursework in the current C&I program, the application deadline for the Fall of 2010 has been extended to April 30, 2010. If you are interested in this graduate program, it is important that you submit your application by the April 30, 2010 deadline. Accepted students will have seven years to the complete the current C&I program.
The graduate program in Curriculum and Instruction is designed for certified teachers in most subject areas to improve teaching skills. This program, approved by SUNY and the State Education Department, meets the requirements of both Provisional and Initial certificate holders.
Teachers applying to the Curriculum and Instruction program ordinarily hold certification in areas such as Biology 7-12, Chemistry 7-12, Earth Science 7-12, Mathematics 7-12, Physics 7-12, French 7-12, and Spanish 7-12, and childhood education.
