Education Programs at SUNY Plattsburgh
Building On a Century-Long Tradition of Preparing Teachers
At Plattsburgh State, we have made teacher education our specialty for more than 100 years.
Our Teacher Education Unit prepares tomorrow's teachers and school leaders with the intellectual foundations, professional theory, and hands-on experiences that will be demanded of them as educators in the 21st century.
Baccalaureate degree programs combine everything that is needed for both graduation and New York State Certification. What's more, we provide a full complement of Master's level teacher education degrees. This makes SUNY Plattsburgh one of the most comprehensive teacher education programs to be found anywhere.
