Student Activities

Criminal Justice Activities On Campus

Criminal Justice/Sociology Club

The Criminal Justice/Sociology Club meets regularly to plan outings and events. In the last three years the club organized a variety of activities, including a field trip to Clinton County Correctional Facility, and brought guest speakers to the campus from social services and criminal justice agencies from the North Country.

Teaching Assistants

Several faculty members offer students the opportunity to serve as peer teaching assistants in their courses. These TAs help other students in the class and often assist the professor in preparing the course.

Research Assistants

All faculty are engaged in primary research, as well as teaching. There are frequent opportunities to assist faculty in their work. Most often, such research assistantships are paid, but they always provide an opportunity to know the faculty better and to gain important experience in research.
