Residence Hall Room Rates

2013-2014

  • Most rooms on campus at SUNY Plattsburgh are double occupancy; that is, they were designed to accommodate two people. Only 3% of our rooms are designed single occupancy. Therefore, they are reserved for medical singles.
  • If a double is occupied by one student, we refer to this as a double-as-single. If a double is occupied by three students, we refer to this as a triple room. Note that in a triple, all furnishings can be "tripled" with the exception of the closets because they are built-in. Each student will have 1/3 of the closet space unless all students in a room agree on other arrangements.
  • For 2013-2014, the five apartments on campus on the 8th and 9th floors of Banks are reserved for graduate students and seniors.
  • Vacation housing applies to any night before or after occupancy dates defined in the official Academic Calendar. The cost of vacation housing is $12 per person per night. Students must contact the Housing & Residence Life office to determine if vacation housing is available.
  • All rates noted below are per semester.
