The following events are planned for the fall 2024 semester. Please note that times and dates may change. 

The Water Station by Ōta Shōgo

Oct 3–6, 2024 tentative

The Water Station is a remarkably poetic non-verbal piece of theatre. It is a world where time slows down, and where a look or a gesture “speak” complex stories from daily life. In Ōta Shōgo‘s non-verbal masterpiece a series of travelers encounter a broken tap of running water, and sometimes each other, in the course of their journeys. According to Ōta, “There are words here ... you just can’t hear them.” (Phillip Zarrilli)

Monty Python’s Spamalot

Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits and French people. Did we mention the bevy of beautiful showgirls? The 2005 Broadway production won three Tony® Awards, including Best Musical, and was followed by two successful West End runs. The outrageous, uproarious and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake will delight audiences as they search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life.” (Theatrical Rights Worldwide)

End Days by Debra Zoe Laufer

March 6–9, 2025

Winner of the 2008 American Theatre Critics Association Steinberg Citation. “The universality of the denouement brings this comedy full circle, leaving us to admire the relevancy of Laufer’s humor and wisdom of her message.” –Variety

Sixteen year-old Rachel Stein is having a bad year. Her father hasn’t changed out of his pajamas since 9/11. Her mother has begun a close, personal relationship with Jesus. Her new neighbor, a sixteen-year-old Elvis impersonator, has fallen for her hard. And the Apocalypse is coming Wednesday. Her only hope is that Stephen Hawking will save them all.
