Registration Dates and Information for Newly Accepted Students

Entering Spring 2015

Freshmen

Information regarding services, dates, and deadlines is forwarded to all new students. Questions may be directed to the Admissions Office (518-564-2040).  

Transfers

  • Course Advisement Begins (Banner Web PIN Access):  December 15, 2014
    Transfer students begin contacting department chairs for course advisement and to obtain the registration code (PIN). A registration code is required to access Banner Web registration.
     
  • Online Registration for Main and Branch Campus Students:  December 15, 2014 (10 a.m.) - February 1, 2015 (11:30 p.m.)
    Staff at the branch campus are available to assist Branch Campus students with registration.
     
  • In-Person Course Advisement/Registration (if needed) is January 25, 2015 (10 a.m.; Learning Center). 

Readmits

  • October 26, 2014 (10 a.m.) - February 1, 2015 (11:30 p.m.) - Banner Web Online Registration
    Note: Please register early.  Registration codes are not required.

Graduate

  • October 26, 2014 (10 a.m.) - February 1, 2015 (11:30 p.m.) - Banner Web Online Registration
    Please register early. Registration codes are not required.

Before You Register

Undergraduate students requiring assistance with course selection should contact the department chairperson of their major initially. If additional course selection advisement is needed, feel free to contact the Office of Academic Advising:

Banner Web (Online Registration)

  1. Access Banner Web from Plattsburgh's homepage at www.plattsburgh.edu .
  2. Click on the MyPlattsburgh link.
  3. Login in with NetId and Password (Click here for more information on NetID and password) 
  4. Click on Student Services menu tab.
  5. Under Registrar, click on Lookup Courses to Add.
  6. Select Term (Winter 2015, Spring 2015, or Summer 2015).
  7. Click Advanced Search.
  8. Select course subject or other search criteria and press the Class Search button at the bottom of the form.
  9. Check the box next to the desired course(s), scroll to end of page, and submit changes. Approval to add a closed course is granted by the department chairperson only.
