By completing additional course work you can combine this major with a pre-medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapist, physicians assistant or pre-pharmacy program.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) at SUNY Plattsburgh is to graduate students who are successfully prepared to enter a dietetic internship, graduate program or employment in clinical, community, or food service settings.

Nutrition Program GoalsOver the past year, 100% of SUNY Plattsburgh Nutrition Program graduates passed the National Registration Examination for Dietitians (RD) on their first attempt. Our five year pass rate is 90%.

  • Upon completion of the DPD nutrition program, graduates will have the knowledge, skills and experience to successfully obtain and complete a dietetic internship and pass the national examination to become registered dietitians.
