Quebec Studies MinorSUNY Plattsburgh, in 2007, became the first college or university in the United States to offer a Bachelor of Arts minor program in Quebec Studies. The 18-hour Quebec studies minor is a multidisciplinary program for undergraduate students seeking to combine it with a major in a complementary field. Students in such majors as Canadian studies, political science, international business, marketing, history, French and many others available at SUNY Plattsburgh find this minor to be an attractive asset as they secure careers in the private and public sectors or pursue graduate studies. Students in the minor program must complete at least one three-credit French course and may complete an internship or an independent study project on Quebec. Quebec studies content courses offer a rich array of comparative perspectives through which to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Quebec society.
