Odyssey is an adventure-based program for first-year students at SUNY Plattsburgh.
Hike an Adirondack Mountain peak, rock-climb in the Adirondacks, challenge yourself on a ropes course, and paddle on the nearby lakes and rivers. You will stay at a camp and sleep in cabins.
Odyssey gives you a smooth transition to college life through specially guided group experiences in the spectacular natural environment of the Lake Champlain-Adirondack mountain region. No prior outdoor experience is required.
Odyssey introduces you to fellow students and expert faculty in settings that make interaction easy. It's a great opportunity to create your own adventure with new friends and begin your college experience at SUNY Plattsburgh. You will also have the bonus of early check-in to your residence hall (avoid those move-in day crowds!).
The Odyssey program is open to any first year incoming freshmen student. You must be physically fit to participate in this program.
