- About Plattsburgh
In 2011-2012, the Plattsburgh College Foundation transferred nearly $1.8 million in philanthropic support to the college. The source of that support is donors like you.
Donors to the Plattsburgh College Foundation fund scholarship awards for deserving students. They also provide enrichment to academic and campus life that would not otherwise be possible.
Please consider directing your gift to one of our funding priorities.
Each year, the Plattsburgh Fund is the single largest source of scholarship support for our students. Ninety percent of gifts to the fund are used in this way, which directly reduces out-of-pocket expenses for families and decreases the burden of student loans. The remainder is used for the enrichment of student life, academics and career networking.
Unrestricted gifts to the Plattsburgh Fund help students in the most direct and immediate way possible – by offsetting the cost of a Plattsburgh education today.
Endowed scholarships help students today, tomorrow and for generations to come. Funds can be restricted to a single purpose or left unrestricted. In each case, they provide a vital, self-renewing base of support. Endowed funds work in tandem with annual gifts to supply a steady and growing stream of aid to our students.
Unrestricted endowments and unrestricted endowed scholarships can be established with gifts of $10,000 or more. Restricted endowments require a gift of $25,000 or more.
Restricted gifts allow donors to earmark a gift for a specific need. The college is seeking restricted gifts for the following special projects:
In addition, restricted gifts that support the strategic priorities within the SUNY Plattsburgh Campus Plan are always welcome. Examples include:
