- About Plattsburgh
The beautifully-renovated, 789-seat E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium is the gathering place for cultural events on campus, including concerts, movies, and special performances. Students perform in several large and chamber ensemble concerts annually. Giltz is also the venue of choice for faculty recitals, guest artists, and area groups, such as Plattsburgh State Gospel Choir and Step Team, Champlain Valley Oratorio Society, Sweet Adeleines, and Adirondack Wind Ensemble.
An intimate space with wonderful acoustics, Krinovitz Recital Hall is a popular spot for student recitals, guest artists, master classes, and lectures. There is seating for 162 persons.
The departments of music and theatre share this modified proscenium theatre for student musicals, plays, and other dramatic productions. Audience capacity is 409.
This small, flexible performing space has an installed theatre lighting grid and doubles as a dance studio.
Doubling as a student performing and rehearsing space, Myers 300 is used for performance classes, auditions, and large ensemble rehearsals. The room seats 95 and features a Baldwin grand piano.
