Do you need a part time job while you're in school? Come to the annual Part-Time Job Posting Fair sponsored by the Career Development Center at SUNY Plattsburgh. It is held on the first day of the fall semester:
Jobs fill quickly so students attending this event have the best opportunity to secure a position. Many part time jobs are listed, including both off campus and on campus (non-work study) positions. Off campus positions typically include jobs in retail stores, offices, restaurants, manufacturing, marketing, and childcare. On campus positions may include jobs at campus offices, sports facilities, dining halls, library, etc.
The Career Development Center will post all known part-time job opportunities. Students will be responsible for contacting the individual employers. Some positions require a resume so students should come prepared with the most current version of their documents.
Following the Part Time Job Fair and throughout the year, students can log in to their CardinalConnect career services manager and browse jobs online. Students may also visit the Career Development Center for information about part-time jobs located on and off campus. In addition, students will find information about on campus jobs online
Students who are eligible for the Federal Work Study program can find these jobs posted under Employment Opportunities when they log into their MyPlattsburgh portal. [Banner > Employment Opportunities]. For more information about work study eligibility and work study positions, please contact the Financial Aid Office.
Note: All students who plan to work will need to present employment verification, which usually includes an original Social Security card (not a copy) and a driver's license or other form of photo identification.
