- About Plattsburgh
SUNY Plattsburgh is home to students from more than 60 countries. We delight in welcoming international students from around the globe to SUNY Plattsburgh: an academically-challenging, beautiful, safe, and friendly place where professors and staff will help you discover your full potential. We offer comprehensive services to international students through our Global Education Office.
If your graduate program requires an interview, the graduate program faculty will contact you in order to set up a phone or Skype interview (if they have decided to consider you for admission to the graduate program). You should be prepared to answer their questions about why you wish to pursue the particular graduate degree program to which you have applied.
Congratulations on your acceptance to SUNY Plattsburgh!
Your first step is to return your signed Confirmation of Credits and Conditions Form (sent to you in an emailed acceptance packet as a PDF file) and your $250 tuition deposit to hold your seat in your graduate program.
Once you have returned your form and deposit, you will be contacted by a member of the Global Education Office who will help you will the process of obtaining your visa.
As an international graduate student, you are not required to live on campus. However, you may find it easier to do so. For on campus housing information, consult Housing and Residence Life. A number of graduate students do choose to live on campus. If you are interested in living off campus, please consult the Housing and Residence Life off campus housing listing.
The E.S.L. Bridge Program helps students who are English learners improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills before enrolling in full-time academic study. Your graduate program conditions may require you to access ESL services to support you as you pursue your graduate degree at SUNY Plattsburgh.
