SUNY Plattsburgh Receives U.S. News & World Report ‘America’s Best’ Ranking

SUNY Plattsburgh has been ranked among “America’s Best Colleges” by U.S. News & World Report for the seventh straight year.

The college moved from No. 81 last year to No. 74, where it tied with Endicott College, Iona College, Norwich University, and Keene State University on the comprehensive list of all northern regional universities.

The rankings are based on the opinions of administrators at peer institutions, student retention data, faculty resources, admissions selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.

“Again this year, we are proud to see so many of our SUNY campuses like SUNY Plattsburgh recognized as being among the best nationally by U.S. News and World Report,” said SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher.

SUNY Plattsburgh President John Ettling said, “We’re pleased that our long-term focus on academic excellence and keeping students at the center of all we do is paying off. That focus is helping us move up, and we hope to continue the trend.”
